This site will serve as a place for me to work with folks in developing a Field Guide to Storymapping. I am counting on several friends to collaborate as part of this process, and a blog space seems to make sense. My thoughts is that between now and the end of the year, I should be able to post enough material to rationalize committing to publication of a book. Let me know your thoughts.

Please count me in. Thank you for putting so succinctly the idea that all story is really about place. Too many of us feel like strangers, sometimes even in our own homes, and we need to find ways of adjusting our refugee status.
Anyway,I think the Field Guide is a brilliant idea and I would be happy to help in whatever way seems most appropriate.

I’m going to begin working on digital stories with several community gardens and would like to map them on a map of our city. I’ve been creating a couple simple maps, playing around. One early question deals with how to display the map, not a link, on a web-site, and is possible to do on a blog site as well.
I also haven’t attached a digital story link as part of my mapping yet. If it’s more involved that basically uploading the document, please warn me.
Obviously, I need to play with the technology. Size of the document is going to be an issue, I suspect. Sorry if I’m posting this in the wrong space and thanks for any assistance. I am taking an html class starting next week. Perhaps that will help with some of this.
